Under the leadership of Mayo A. Shattuck, Constellation Energy’s performance has garnered them multiple industry awards. During 2004, the Edison Electric Institute awarded Baltimore Gas and Electric with its Emergency Assistance Award for its work to restore powering Florida after the 2004 hurricane season. That year, Constellation Energy also earned the Platts Energy Company of the Year Award for its leadership in the North American competitive electricity marketplace as well as its impressive growth. Both of these achievements can be attributed to Mayo A. Shattuck. Constellation Energy has achieved amazing double digit growth since Mr. Shattuck joined the organization and became the largest energy provider to both commercial and industrial customers. In 2005, Constellation Energy demonstrated that its role as industry leader was no fluke. Amongst energy companies, Constellation Energy attained top honors with a number 1 ranking on Fortune’s list of America’s Most Admired Companies. Constellation was judged in several key areas, including: innovation, management quality, employee talent, financial soundness, use of corporate assets, long-term investment, social responsibility, and quality of products and services. Constellation Energy was recognized with other awards as well. As the winner of the 2005 Edison Award, Constellation Energy received the industry’s highest distinction for its leadership in the competitive energy marketplace and the highly successful execution of its competitive business strategy, as it made the greatest contribution to the advancement of the electric power industry. Mayo A. Shattuck’s leadership guided Constellation Energy to its recent success. As an inspirational leader, he helped Constellation Energy maintain its core values and provide top performance in the areas of speed, accountability, passion for excellence, and creation of value as benchmarks for results as it establishes itself as a visionary company. The Classic began Monday, September 11, and ended Sunday September 17. |
